Hallie Bourassa, who will begin her second year of law school this fall, received the The Canadian Bar Association, Saskatchewan Branch Award of Excellence. Its criteria includes academic achievement, community involvement and extracurricular activities.

“I have always been a student who works throughout the school year, takes a full load of classes and has many student loans so the gracious help of donors makes a huge difference in the quality of my education. Thank you for all that you do for us students!”

Bourassa, originally from Radville, Saskatchewan, just began her second summer at Weger Paradis Law Firm in Weyburn. Her long-term goal is to stay at the firm and provide legal services to both Weyburn and Radville, working hard in the community where she has lived all her life.

I am pretty fortunate to be surrounded by some great support staff. Follow our page as we introduce some new and familiar faces at Weger Paradis Law Firm (NSWB Law Firm). Still waiting on Facebook to officially approve the name change.

Meet the team….

Hallie Bourassa joined our office this spring. In April she graduated from the Edwards School of Business at the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing with Great Distinction.

Hallie grew up in Radville, and is the daughter of Shannon and Richie Bourassa. We are so lucky to have Hallie join our office and appreciate her willingness to learn and help out in all areas of the office.

We asked Hallie to tell us a little about herself…

What areas of Law do you work in? “Assisting with family law and criminal law, as well as training/learning in all other areas.”

Community Involvement ? “Figure skated and danced in Weyburn for many years. During university I volunteered at the Ronald McDonald House and the Friendship Inn in Saskatoon, I was also a member of the Edwards JDC West Case Competition team.”

What do you enjoy about working at Weger Paradis Law Firm? “I have been really enjoying learning about all areas of the law, as one day I would like to become a lawyer. Weger Paradis is a great place to learn as we offer a wide variety of legal services.”

What do you like best about Weyburn and area?
“I love that our community is filled with friendly, outgoing people who are always there to chat and lend support to other families and friends in the community”
