We're pleased to share that Tamara Napoleon, Principal and Lead of MT+Co.'s Indigenous Law Group, is co-chairing the upcoming CLEBC program, Legal Research: Expanding the Legal Imagination: Research for a Legally Plural Society, alongside Megan Vis-Dunbar, Director, Reconciling Crown Legal Frameworks Program at the BC Law Institute.

Taking place on October 29, this one-day webinar will examine how research methods shape what we recognize as law, the barriers they can create, and practical strategies for expanding research approaches to include Indigenous and international legal systems.

As legal pluralism increasingly informs legal relationships, contracts, and advocacy, participants will explore approaches to researching Indigenous and international laws, the ethical considerations involved, and ways to strengthen the scope, rigour, and accessibility of legal research.

MT+Co. is honoured to support the Truth & Reconciliation Day Ride taking place in Victoria on September 30.

The ride is a free, family-friendly event organized by Capital Bike in partnership with Victoria Orange Shirt Day and Songhees First Nation. The ride starts in Songhees Park and finishes near the South Island Powwow, which begins at noon.

This event brings community members together on the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation to honour survivors, listen, learn, and and reflect on the ongoing work of reconciliation.
