🌟 Book Signing at Chapters Coquitlam! 🌟

I’m so honoured to be hosting a book signing in the community I grew up in. 💛
Join me at Chapters Coquitlam on November 30th at 12pm as I sign copies of my children’s book, I Have Two of Everything.

This story was written to help kids (and parents) navigate the emotions of living in two homes … and to remind them that love exists in both places. 💕

I can’t wait to meet you all, chat with families, and celebrate this special moment right here at home.

✨ Story time day! ✨ what a blessing, to be able to read to all those kids! 🙏🏾📚📖🫶🏾💛 ♥️ thank you To, the principal, librarian for making it happen, and all of the teachers that brought their students! What a turnout can’t wait to post the pictures 😃 Thank you Madam Howell for creating the local author display outside the library… I hope I’m one of many that have the privilege to read to these very special students. 🤓

Canada’s National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (also known as Orange Shirt Day) was first observed on September 30, 2021 as a federal statutory holiday 🇨🇦 The day was created in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s 94 Calls to Action (specifically Call to Action #80), which called for a national holiday to honor survivors of residential schools, their families, and communities, and to ensure public commemoration of the history and legacy of residential schools.

Before 2021, Orange Shirt Day had already been observed annually on September 30 since 2013, started by Phyllis Webstad, a residential school survivor, to raise awareness about the impact of residential schools 🙏🏾
