There's nothing I enjoy more than classical music, which is why I'm thrilled to hear that Music on Main is returning with their free Summer Pop-Up Concerts at Mount Pleasant Park. It's just a stone throw from where I work on Broadway.

Concerts run from August 9 - 18 and begin at 6:30pm. What a great way to end the day, enjoy a picnic and spend some time with your neighbours! 🎵🎻🎸🎺

Did you know that every Friday from 6:00PM - 8:00PM this summer, the Mount Pleasant BIA will be hosting free pop-up concerts for the community to enjoy, featuring new artists every week at Main St and E 14th Ave.

Grateful to have one of the best parks in the city a short walk away from my office - Johnathon Rogers Park! A few other parks I enjoy in the area are:

🌳 Mt. Pleasant Park - The community garden here is amazing.
🌳 Guelph Park - Famously known as Dude Chilling Park, originally created as a prank but now has official public art status in Vancouver.
🌳 City Hall Community Garden - I know this isn't technically a park, but its quite beautiful to stroll around. There is even table tennis, just remember to bring your own ball & paddles!

This morning, the Bank of Canada increased the prime rate from 3.2& to 3.7%. But what does this mean?

◼️ If you're a home owner with a fixed rate, nothing has changed - your mortgage payment stays the same!

◼️ For those with a variable mortgage, here's whats changing:

◾ For each $100,000k of your regular variable rate balance, your monthly mortgage payments have increased around $25

◾ If you have static payments, you wont really notice the change in you monthly payments, but the interest portion of the mortgage has increased so it'll take longer to pay down the mortgage.
