One day later, several reports surfaced on social media that Immigration, Refugees,....

PGWPs expired after September 20, 2021 can get extension

Immigration Minister Sean Fraser tweeted that the previously-announced PGWP extension will be available to PGWPs that have expired since September 20, 2021.

The new policy is beneficial to anyone who has an expiring PGWP. The change is mainly intended to accommodate Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates who have not had the opportunity to apply for immigration through Express Entry since September 21, 2021.

Canada’s Prime Minister creates task force to address immigration delays

The task force, made up of a large group of federal ministers, will seek to identify major gaps in these services and will also be reviewing service delivery and making recommendations for how these factors can improve.

The task force will be paying particular attention to the processing of immigration applications by identifying priority areas where action is needed. The goal is to create both long-term and short-term solutions that will clear the backlogs and improve the quality and speed of services.

This , we look to organizations and groups that make an impact in our diverse communities, such as Pinoys on Parliament.

Since 2019, POP has brought together youth from across Canada to discuss important topics including politics, government, STEM, business, academia, the arts and more.

This year’s theme, Pagitan, is a Tagalog word that implies a "space in between.” This theme will help the leaders explore the intersectionality of their identities as both Filipinx and Canadians.

Canada to end vaccine mandates for domestic travellers, transportation workers

As of 00:01 Eastern Time on June 20, Canada will suspend vaccination requirements for domestic and outbound travel, federally regulated transportation sectors and federal government employees.

Canadian government officials said the suspension of vaccine mandates reflects an improved public health situation in Canada. Nearly 90% of Canadians have been vaccinated against COVID-19 and case counts have decreased.

The current vaccination requirements remain in effect at the border, as coronavirus continues to circulate throughout the globe and the risks of infection vary by country. These requirements include quarantine and testing requirements for Canadians who have not been fully vaccinated.
