🛴 E-Scooters are illegal to ride in Toronto.
You’ve probably seen them everywhere. On sidewalks, bike lanes, and city streets. But in Toronto, e-scooters cannot legally be operated in public spaces.
And the concern goes beyond the rules.
Emergency-department visits for e-scooter falls among Toronto residents nearly doubled from 2022 to 2024, from 423 to 804.
If you’re injured in an e-scooter accident, the circumstances of the accident matter. Who was involved, what happened, and how the injury occurred can all be important when determining what legal options may be available.
Been injured? Don’t assume you have no options.
