Update on 2024: Starting May 21, we will invite 35,700 potential sponsors from the pool of remaining interest to sponsor forms submitted in 2020 to sponsor parents and grandparents. We will send out invitations over the course of approximately 2 weeks. If you submitted an interest to sponsor form in 2020, please check the email address you used at that time. If you didn’t submit an interest to sponsor form in 2020, your parents and grandparents can still come to Canada for an extended visit by applying for a super visa. They will be able to visit for up to 5 years at a time and extend their stay while in Canada. Find out more: https://bit.ly/4bjEK0c

Canada brings in new changes on student permits for 2024.

1. Reduction of permits by 35 percent. ( Capping 2024 permits to 364000)

2. Effective Sept 1st, 2024, private public partnership college grads will not be issued postgraduate work permits.

Great move compared to the unreasonable charges and facilities provided.

3. Spousal work permits will only be issued for students in Masters, doctoral programs, or medicine and laws. Any other level of study spousal work permits will not be issued. The effective date is not announced yet..

4.. Depending on the need of each provinces study permits will be issued province wise.

These changes will benefit the students . As they will be enrolled in good colleges/ universities, qualify of education, qualify of living will improve.

5. Provincuial attestation with study permit applications is also part of the requirement as part of the application process (Masters, Doctoral and Elementary/ high school will be exempted)

These changes are a positive way forward in the interest of new students arriving in Canada.
