Did the cat sign it?
Probably not.
But that's becoming a surprisingly important question.
For years, digital agreements relied on a simple assumption:
The person with access to the email is the person who should be signing.
That worked reasonably well.
Until identity became easier to imitate.
Today, a timestamp can tell you when something happened.
An audit log can tell you what happened.
Neither necessarily tells you who made it happen.
And when contracts are challenged, that's often the only question that matters.
We built systems that record actions.
The next generation of agreements may need to prove the actor.
