Sharing a memory of Lily on Canada Day!❤️🇨🇦 Miss her so much, and this picture in her festive tie warms my heart. 🌈✨As we celebrate today, the July heat is here. The best way we can honour Lily’s memory is by keeping furry friends safe from dangerous summer temperatures. ☀️🐾Please take a look at my blog on suzanagartner.com and feel free to share it to help protect the pets! 👇

Hi everyone! I’ll be in Newmarket for my last book spring signing for A Voice for Animals tomorrow Saturday, June 27th from noon to 4:00 PM at Indigo, Chapters and Coles in the Upper Canada Mall (17600 Yonge St, Newmarket). Advocating for animals and telling their stories is at the heart of everything we do here.

Hoping to connect with others who share this passion for animals. It is the main reason I launched A Voice for Animals in the first place. If you’re in the Newmarket area, please stop by. Let’s share some stories and talk about how ways to be a voice for those who need it most. Please share with others in the Newmarket area!

Hope to see some friendly faces there!"

🐾 A historic victory for animals. 🐾

After years of advocacy and calls for change, Ridglan Farms is closing — and the remaining dogs are finally getting their chance at freedom. No dog left behind. ❤️

This moment represents what compassion, persistence, and the power of animal advocates can achieve. Every life matters, and every dog deserves safety, care, and the opportunity to know love beyond the walls of a research facility.

As lawmakers continue working toward stronger protections for research animals, this victory reminds us that change is possible when we stand together. 🐶✨

"Animals are here with us, not for us." ❤️🐾

Read that again. It’s a simple shift in words, but a massive shift
in
how we treat the world around us.

A Voice for Animals is all about breaking down the old mindsets and
stepping up as true advocates for our furry, feathered, and
four-legged
neighbors. They don't belong to us; they belong with us.

👉 Quick question for the community: What is one small change you
think
humanity needs to make to better respect animal dignity? Let’s chat

Thousands of advocates in major global cities held memorials for animals lost to exploitation, while championing the legislative shifts and plant-based innovations rewriting our future. The day culminated in the global signing of The Declaration of Animal Rights.

🐾 Ontario has passed Bill 75, a new law that would restrict
invasive
medical research on cats and dogs and ban breeding them for research
purposes.

While many see this as progress, animal advocacy groups say stronger
protections are still needed.

Now we want to hear FROM YOU 👇

❓Do you believe ALL invasive animal testing should be banned?
❓Should shelter animals ever be used for research?
❓Is this bill enough, or should Ontario go further?
