This review made my day. 🤍

Immigration can feel overwhelming, and one of the most important parts of my work is making sure people feel heard, supported, and a little more confident about what comes next.

I’m so grateful when someone takes the time to share their experience after speaking with me. Thank you for your trust and for these incredibly kind words—it truly means a lot.

If you’re navigating your own immigration journey and could use some clarity along the way, I’m always happy to help. 🤍

Did you know there’s a 5-year sponsorship bar in Canada? 🇨🇦

If you became a permanent resident because a spouse or common-law partner sponsored you, you generally cannot turn around and sponsor a new spouse or partner until 5 years have passed since you became a PR.

It’s an important rule to know before making plans to sponsor your partner.

✨ When preparation, persistence, and advocacy matter.

I am incredibly grateful to receive this thoughtful review from a family I recently had the privilege of assisting with a complex immigration matter.

Some immigration cases require much more than preparing and submitting an application. In this matter, my work included preparing a comprehensive Port of Entry package, communicating directly with CBSA officers at Toronto Pearson regarding my clients’ circumstances, providing materials for advance review, and following up to ensure the appropriate officers had the information they needed in anticipation of the family’s arrival.

That included continuing to follow up over a long weekend because, when a family’s ability to be together is at stake, timing and preparation can matter tremendously.

Ultimately, the family was permitted to enter Canada together. ❤️🇨🇦

Receiving their message afterward meant so much to me:

“She truly went above and beyond. If you are looking for an immigration lawyer who is knowledgeable, responsive, compassionate, thorough, and genuinely invested in her clients, I cannot recommend her highly enough.”

There are never guarantees when seeking entry to Canada, and the ultimate decision rests with the examining CBSA officer. But as counsel, I can make sure my clients are thoroughly prepared, that their circumstances are clearly presented, and, where appropriate, that I advocate and communicate with the relevant authorities on their behalf.

I am so happy this family is together in Canada and grateful that they trusted me to help them through such an important moment.

Immigration is rarely just one application.

A spousal sponsorship can overlap with an expiring status. A refusal can lead to restoration. A family may need a work permit or visitor record while their permanent residence application moves forward.

That’s why I don’t look at an application in isolation. I look at the bigger picture and help my clients understand what needs to happen now, what comes next, and how the different pieces fit together.

This couple trusted me with several matters, including restoration of status, a work permit, a visitor record, and ultimately their spousal sponsorship.

Their review says the rest. 🤍

If your immigration situation has become more complicated than you expected, you don’t have to figure out the next step alone.

✨ WORK PERMIT APPROVED! 🇨🇦

Another great result for a client who found herself in a difficult immigration situation after her previous work permit expired and she fell out of status in Canada.

Getting her back on track required careful planning, multiple steps, and a strong application strategy — but we got it done. 🙌

Her work permit has now been APPROVED, her status has been restored, and she can finally move forward in Canada with peace of mind. ❤️

Immigration mistakes and refusals can happen, but they don’t always mean the end of the road. Sometimes, there is a way forward with the right strategy.

This review means a lot to me. ❤️

I’ve had the privilege of working with Rigel for the past five years, assisting him through different stages of his Canadian immigration process, from his earlier temporary residence matters all the way to achieving permanent residence.

Over those years, there were many applications, many decisions, and yes.. a lot of questions (his words 😂). Through it all, he continued to place his trust in me, and that’s something I never take for granted.

I’ve always believed that good legal representation means giving clients honest and realistic advice, being meticulous with their applications, and making sure they understand what is happening every step of the way… even when the advice isn’t necessarily what they hoped to hear.

To know that those are the very things Rigel valued about working with me means so much.

Thank you for five years of trust and for allowing me to be part of so many important stages along the way.

🇨🇦❤️ Congratulations, Rigel!
