The Cochrane Law Association is hiring!
We are the professional association for lawyers in the District of Cochrane. We provide support and services to our members, including managing the regional law libraries.
JOB TITLE: LAW LIBRARIAN
THE CONTRACT: Permanent, Part-Time: 20 hours per week: $20.00/hour; $0.41/km when travel is necessary. Candidates should be bondable residents of Ontario, Canada.
Candidates should have:
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize, problem-solve, and multi-task
• Ability to work autonomously
• Computer skills including proficiency in word, email, calendar, and web-based programs
Additional assets that will be given preference:
• French language proficiency
• Experience working in a law office and/or a library
• Experience updating and maintaining a website
• Special Events Planning
Responsibilities:
Supporting the needs of the association by:
• Maintaining the law library located in Timmins
• Maintaining the library located in Cochrane (on a once monthly basis)
• Ordering books and other research materials
• Providing basic bookkeeping services to the association
• Answering inquiries from our members and the public
• Supporting the Executive and its projects
• Updating the association’s social media accounts
