Today, Spinal Cord Injury Ontario brought its Access Expo to Thunder Bay for the first time.

White Macgillivray Lester was proud to support the inaugural Thunder Bay event as a Premiere Sponsor, with WML partner Jeff Moorley on hand to connect with attendees, service providers and organizations from across our community.

Thank you to Spinal Cord Injury Ontario, the exhibitors, and everyone who stopped by our table to say hello. It was great to see so many people come together around accessibility, independence and inclusion in Northwestern Ontario.

The area is still under construction, so if you’re visiting WML, please take a little extra care getting to and from the building.

Back to school season is here. 🚌🎒

As students return to classrooms across Thunder Bay, school buses are back on the roads and more children are walking and biking through our neighbourhoods.

A little extra patience goes a long way: slow down, stay alert, and watch for children getting on and off buses and crossing the street.

Wishing students, families, teachers and school staff across Thunder Bay a safe and great start to the school year.

Local road concern: Belrose Road at John Street Road

Some time ago, we reported a washout beside the Belrose Road Bridge over the McIntyre River. The erosion is now visibly worse.

Material used as temporary fill is washing down the embankment and accumulating in the riverbed. Erosion is also visible around the road edge and beneath the guardrail. Because the same area continues to erode after being filled, this appears to be a recurring issue rather than an isolated washout.

The worsening condition has now been reported again to the City, together with these updated photographs. We are sharing them so road users who use this route are aware and in the hope that the location can be reassessed before it becomes more serious.

Please use caution and give the shoulder some extra space when travelling through the area.

🎉 Harbourfest is underway now on Red River Road!

Red River is filling up with vendors and visitors this afternoon as Harbourfest gets going right here in WML’s neighbourhood.

Red River Road is closed between Court Street and St. Paul Street for the festivities. Cumberland Street South also remains closed due to ongoing construction, so anyone heading downtown may want to allow a little extra time.

Great to see so much activity in the Waterfront District. Have a great Harbourfest, Thunder Bay!

Despite appearances, we’re open!

There may be a rather impressive hole outside our Cumberland Street entrance, but our main entrance remains open and Red River Road remains open to traffic.

If you’re visiting WML, please use caution around the construction area. We look forward to seeing you!
