What a beautiful day! I can almost see my entire back lawn as most of the old snow has melted. All of you homeowners know what that means- almost time to get out there and clean up a long winter's old mess! With Easter weekend kicking off that also kick starts the spring housing market. Lots of signs will be going up in the next week or two. Even if you are not in Real Estate you have likely heard the constant references to Toronto's HOT market. If you already own, that is great news for you. If you are holding off but hoping to dive into the market, scary times for sure. My best advise, visit your bank or a mortgage broker to get your financial "ducks" in line. Ask your friends and family for Real Estate agent referrals. Meet a couple but don't get too caught up over brokerage name games. Personality should be top of mind when picking an agent to work with you in finding homes to see. Remember, the search may take weeks, even months before you find that place to call a HOME. You could be working together for a while, so a good, candid rapport is essential. Mutual respect rules the day. No one wants to work with someone that they really don't connect with. Yes the agent is ultimately working for you but don't things always run smoother in life when people in relationships just go well together?
