🚨 Canada Tightens Digital Nomad Entry Requirements – What This Means for You 🇨🇦

As of May 26, 2026, Canadian immigration officers may apply increased scrutiny to digital nomads entering the country. 🇨🇦 IRCC Plans to Add Language Test Field to PGWP Application Portal

Canada’s Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is planning to introduce a dedicated language test upload field to the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) application portal following ongoing confusion among international graduates.

📌 What’s Important to Know?
🔹 Since November 1, 2024, language test results have been mandatory for all PGWP applicants.
🔹 Many applicants missed submitting their results because the portal had no dedicated upload section, leading to application refusals.
🔹 Between November 2024 and December 2025, over 302,000 PGWP applications were received, with 945 rejected due to language-related issues.
🔹 Until IRCC updates the portal, applicants must upload language test results under the “Client Information” section.
🔹 If multiple supporting documents are required, they should be combined into one PDF file before uploading.
