Effective April 1, 2026, all new freehold home buyers must register their new home purchase with Tarion within 45 days of entering into an agreement of purchase and sale with a vendor/builder. (This change was originally set to take effect on January 1, 2026, and was extended). Failure to register or registering late can affect deposit coverage. Here is the link to the registration page:
