🍁 IRCC has introduced a helpful change for work permit holders in Canada.

Many workers, especially former international students who transitioned to a PGWP, were uncertain whether they could take short courses without first obtaining a study permit.

The issue was that previous rules required the studies to be completed within the period of stay originally authorized upon entry into Canada. For many workers who had extended their status from within Canada and never left the country, this created confusion and limitations.

✅ Under the new public policy, eligible work permit holders can now study programs of 6 months or less without a study permit, even if they no longer meet that previous requirement.

This provides greater flexibility to: • Upgrade skills • Obtain certifications • Pursue professional licensing • Advance career opportunities in Canada

🎉 TRV APPROVED AFTER RECONSIDERATION!

A refusal is not always the final outcome.

After receiving a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) refusal, our client pursued a carefully prepared reconsideration request, addressing the concerns raised by the visa officer. We are pleased to share that the application has now been approved, and the client has received a Passport Request (PPR).

✅ Initial Refusal
✅ Reconsideration Request Submitted
✅ Approval Granted
✅ Passport Request Received

This success highlights the importance of thoroughly reviewing refusal reasons and presenting strong supporting submissions when appropriate.
