KDB Law is excited to announce that we are now providing Family Law Mediation services in collaboration with Nick Skinner and Judith DaSilva! ✨☺️
We are excited to add this service offering to our firm as we work to find more ways to support people going through relationship breakdown in our community. So let’s meet the mediators! First up, Nick.
Nick Skinner was born and raised in Perth County. He is an accredited mediator with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada. Nick worked as a mediator-in-training at Muxlow Mediation in Goderich after completing a Certificate in Family Mediation at York University and a Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation at the University of Waterloo.
Mediation is a mid-career pivot for Nick, who has spent more than a decade working as a communications professional. He continues to work at Wilfrid Laurier University after past roles in the non-profit sector, including at Sunnybrook Foundation and Ronald McDonald House Charities Toronto.
Nick is redirecting his skills toward conflict resolution, eager to help people work through their issues with constructive, curious, respectful communication. He spent three years volunteering at Community Justice Initiatives in Kitchener, facilitating support groups and restorative conversations for survivors of sexual harm.
Outside of the office, Nick is a foodie and dedicated member of his book club. He serves on the board of directors at United Way Perth-Huron.
KDB Law is excited to be working with you Nick 🙏
