Last week, appraiser Tracy Dopko was asked to be a panelist on the Women’s Forum held during The Appraisal Foundation's Board of Trustees meeting in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The panel theme was wealth building and building your own appraisal practice, with the goal of providing practical insight, inspiration, and real-world perspectives from women at different stages and sectors of the profession. We were not able to attend in person this year as Tracy is doing double duty as a speaker at the International Society of Appraisers Conference in Phoenix, Arizona, this week, but we did get a chance to watch remotely. Appraiser Tracy Dopko had a great time working yesterday for the Alberta Government as an Equine Technician Examiner for the Alberta Green Certificate Agricultural Program at the Whitemud Equine Learning Centre. Alberta high school students between the ages of 15-18 can earn 16 school credits by working through various agricultural programs, helping improve their skills, and getting them ready for the workforce. Once they have completed their courses, they go to centrally located testing areas to show the examiners what they have learned.
