I consider a simple will to be any of the following:
1) Married or common law couple, where the residual is distributed to adult or minor children or grand children;
2) Single person, where the residual is distributed to adult or minor children or grand children;
3) Married or common law couple, where the residual is distributed to named individuals; and
4) Single person, where the residual is distributed to named individuals.

A mirror will is when a couple have essentially the same will with the testators switched. Minor differences such as a different alternate executor would be allowed.

COVID-19

Due to the unprecedented Covid-19 outbreak our office is taking the following precautions:

1. We will remain open however our office will be used for required appointments only.
2. Our email, faxes and telephone will be monitored remotely. Please be patient as some of us are working from home. There may be a delay in accessing your file as we are working for multiple locations.
3. Please consider alternative forms of signing or reviewing documents. The Law Society as a result of this outbreak is allowing for remote signing. Our office will utilize remote meetings whenever possible.
4. Please do not attend our office if you are sick or your you are under quarantine. We will work with you to make alternative arrangements.

Please note we are still accepting new real estate and criminal matters.

Do you have a real estate closing? Refinance that requires a lawyer? While our office is closed we continue to accept new deals. We are willing to work with you should you not be able to attend our office including remote signing.
