Making Mammoth Tracks

Making Mammoth Tracks Mobile Craft Studio creates whimsical, nature-inspired art using real botanicals and hand-gathered materials from across western Canada. Handmade on the road, in Western Canada (while living and travelling full-time in an RV), each piece celebrates the beauty of the natural world and the unique landscapes it comes from.

Artist and maker behind the studio, Christie, designs and crafts every item in small batches—transforming oyster shells, flowers, and plants into one-of-a-kind art pieces such as decorative dishes, ornaments, magnets, keychains, and framed botanical works. She also builds and adorns her own wooden flower presses, inspiring others to explore, slow down, and preserve their own plant discoveries.

Every creation reflects care, curiosity, and a love for Canada’s diverse environments—bringing together science, storytelling, and craftsmanship to make meaningful, naturally beautiful keepsakes.

Hannadmade

Working under the name HannadMade, Hanna Dotzenroth (she/they) is a visual and conceptual artist living and working on Treaty 6 territory in Beaumont, Alberta. Her work explores the variety of relationships that grow within the vegetable garden through painting, printmaking, and textiles. As an avid gardener, they are inspired by the ritual of tending to the garden year after year, and the sense of play and community that blooms out of these spaces.

They recently attended the BRAZZA artist residency in Chateauneuf-sur-Charente, France, and hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Art and Design from the University of Alberta. She now shares her work in various shops and art markets around the Edmonton area and is a private art instructor for young artists.

Annie Maltais, photographer

As a devoted wildlife enthusiast, I find immense joy in simply observing animals and birds in their natural habitats. My aim is to portray their beauty through portraits that reflect both their essence and my deep respect for them. Whether I encounter a rare species or a common one, each sighting feels like a privilege—an intimate moment with nature that I strive to capture and share.

Wishing to share this wild beauty on a daily basis, I offer my portraits in several print sizes. I have also created a shop selling related products (puzzles, notebooks, bookmarks and cards) so that everyone can take a little piece of nature home with them.

kcschnell.ca Encaustic Art

Kathy Schnell is an artist from Sherwood Park, Alberta. She works primarily with Encaustic. Encaustic is an ancient art medium using beeswax and damar resin (tree sap) to create luminous depth, and luscious texture! This medium is used in its hot, molten state, and as it cools, it hardens on the canvas. Heat must be used to fuse each layer, and Kathy’s preferred method is a blowtorch!
