Ensure that they are listed as an “active” Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) or Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA). If your immigration consultant has a status of “Revoked” or “Suspended”, then they are not currently authorized to practise.
Check disciplinary notices in our Disciplinary Proceedings and Tribunal section.
