Your trademark can grow with your business
Your business today might not look anything like your business five years from now.
That matters when you’re thinking about trademark protection.
Maybe you started selling candles and now you’re launching room sprays.
Maybe you built an app and now you’re offering educational services.
Maybe your little side hustle suddenly became a full product line.
Trademark protection is connected to the specific goods and services associated with your mark. That means adding something completely new to your business doesn’t necessarily mean your existing registration automatically covers it.
As your business evolves, your trademark strategy should evolve with it.
A good habit for growing businesses: every time you launch a significant new product or service, ask yourself:
“Is this actually covered by my existing trademark protection?”
Because growing the business is exciting.
Finding the gap after someone else has entered it? Considerably less exciting.
