A special visitor in Steveston this morning! 🚢

The National Geographic Sea Bird is tied up at the transient moorage float in Cannery Channel. Part of the National Geographic-Lindblad Expeditions fleet, this expedition ship carries adventurous travellers along some of North America’s most remarkable coastlines.

During the summer, the Sea Bird explores Alaska and British Columbia before heading south for the winter to Baja California, the Sea of Cortez, Costa Rica and Panama.

With accommodations for just 62 guests in 31 outside cabins, the Sea Bird is specially designed to navigate narrow inlets, wildlife-rich waterways and smaller ports that larger ships cannot reach. It also carries sea kayaks and expedition landing craft, allowing guests to explore remote coastlines up close.

Quite the sight to spot from the Steveston Boardwalk this morning!
