Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Truth and Reconciliation Community Night. 🧡

Special thanks to the Khast’an Drummers, Robin Chouinard and Kyle Sam for sharing their songs, and our Cultural Advisor Bertha Cardinal for opening our evening.

Today marks the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day - Every Child Matters.

What happened in Kamloops last Sunday hurt. Racism and hate are still here. Reconciliation is more than one day, it is the work we do every day.

To our youth, if you are feeling uneasy, unsafe, hurt or just need connection, reach out to your Youth Care Worker.

Hold your heads high. We are still here. We are strong, and we will continue to stand together. 🧡

Today, some of our Youth Services team had the honour of serving at the Friendship Centre’s Monthly Elders Luncheon.

It was an opportunity to connect with our Elders, share a meal, and let our community know about the programs, services, and events we offer at the Friendship Centre.

We’re Hiring — My Way Youth Life Skills Coach!

As September arrives and fall gets underway, many young people and team members are returning to school. With these changes comes an opportunity to welcome new, dedicated staff who are passionate about supporting youth in our community.

The Prince George Native Friendship Centre is looking for a My Way Youth Life Skills Coach to support and empower youth as they build confidence, strengthen life skills, and work toward their goals.

If you’re passionate about helping young people grow, thrive, and reach their potential, this could be a meaningful opportunity to make a difference. 💙

Wage: $28.54–$34.39/hour

Closing date: September 27, 2026

In accordance with Section 41 of the BC Human Rights Code, preference will be given to qualified applicants of Indigenous ancestry.
