I’ve been dreaming about ranchers for years now.

The simplicity. The functionality. The idea of having everything you need on one level as life evolves around you.

A few days ago, I got a sneak peek inside this home before it hit the market.

Today, it’s officially live.

And after seeing it in person, I genuinely don’t think it’s going to make it past this weekend.

Maybe it’s because lately it feels like we’re entering a totally different phase of life.

Almost 10 years ago, we moved to Port Moody looking for trails, breweries, walkability, and a stronger sense of community. Back then it was just Lindsay, me, and Sadie.

What we didn’t realize was that we weren’t just buying a home. We were building a life.

Now our roots run deep. Our friends are here. Our routines are here. The trails we run, the coffee shops we visit, and the families we’ve grown alongside. This community has become part of who we are.

And lately, I’ve found myself looking at homes differently.

Not through the lens of square footage or finishes.

But through the lens of what the next chapter could look like.

More space to gather.

A home that works for every stage of life.

A backyard that becomes the backdrop for family dinners, summer evenings, and years of memories.

That’s exactly what I felt walking through this stunning rancher.

The $700,000 renovation is incredible, but what really stands out is how effortlessly this home lives. Every detail feels intentional. Every space feels like somewhere you’d actually want to spend your time.

Truthfully, if we were in the market for a rancher, this would be right at the top of our list.

If you’ve been waiting for a forever home in Port Moody, if you’re craving simplicity without sacrificing style, or if you’re quietly thinking about what your next chapter might look like...

Don’t wait on this one.

I have a feeling it won’t be around for long.

You know the kind of place.

Kids riding bikes to the pool.

Neighbours chatting on evening walks.

Families heading to the park with coffees in hand.

Summer nights that somehow feel a little longer than everywhere else.

It’s one of the reasons people move to Klahanie and then never seem to leave.

And tucked inside one of the most sought-after communities in Port Moody is my newest listing at 98-100 Klahanie Drive.

What I love most isn’t just the home itself, it’s the lifestyle that comes with it.

Being able to walk to Rocky Point, Brewer’s Row, SkyTrain, Trails, Schools, The Canoe Club.

The kind of community where everything feels connected and life gets a little simpler.

As I walked through this home, I couldn’t help but think about how many people are looking for exactly this right now.

A place where the neighbourhood matters just as much as the square footage.

A place where your kids can grow up with friends down the street and where weekends don’t require getting in the car.

If that sounds like the next chapter you’ve been looking for, this one might be worth a closer look.

✅ Comment or DM me “KLAHANIE” and I’ll send you all the juicy details before everyone else. 👀

For the first time, our little dude is heading into a season with no daycare, no school. Just camps, adventures, and all the memories that come with growing up a little too fast.

It has me thinking about the life we’ve built over the last decade. When we moved to Port Moody, we weren’t just buying a home. We were choosing a lifestyle. We were choosing more time together, trails instead of traffic, community over chaos, and a place where we hoped we could put down roots.

Looking back, it’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.

I know firsthand how hard change can be. Moving, leaving familiar places, and betting on a different future isn’t easy. But choosing a lifestyle you genuinely love, in a community that aligns with how you want to spend your days, goes a long way.

As we head into the next three months, I’m excited for the simple stuff like bike rides, lake days, trail adventures, camp pickups, patio dinners, and watching our little guy grow.

And maybe that’s why I connect so much with the people I help. So many are standing at the edge of change right now. They’re excited about what’s ahead, but understandably nervous about taking the leap.

If that’s you, know that the best decisions often come with a little uncertainty. Listen to your gut. Think about the life you want to live, not just the home you want to buy.

Sometimes the scariest decisions become the ones you’re most grateful you made.

Ten years later, I know they did for us.

✅ If you’ve been thinking about making a move, even if it’s just a thought right now, I put everything I’ve learned (four moves, 5 years of parenthood, and helping hundreds of young families) into a Suburb Guide you can skim in minutes.
