Local Port Perry firm is seeking a full-time accounting technician in their accounting department.

Responsibilities:
- Complete compilations for small to medium sized business clients including preparation of working papers, financial statements and T2 returns.
- Complete bookkeeping projects for clients of various sizes, including year end bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of payroll, ROEs, T4s, T4As, T5s, WSIB, EHT and HST.
- Prepare and efile T1 returns.
- Build effective working relationships with client contacts, and respond effectively to client requests and suggestions related to the engagement.
- Complete additional ad-hoc duties or assignments as required, including communications with CRA.
- Education and Professional
Skills/Knowledge:
- 2+ years’ experience in the areas of bookkeeping and tax return preparation, preferably in public accounting.
- Advanced computer skills in QuickBooks, Profile, CaseWare, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and the flexibility to manage multiple tasks and consistently meet client deadlines.
