There have been no changes to evacuation orders or alerts overnight. The area remains unsafe due to the active fire, and there is currently no timeline for re-entry. Highway 97 also remains closed.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a Yellow Heat Warning for Penticton and the surrounding area. With sustained high temperatures expected, residents and visitors are encouraged to take precautions to stay safe:
💧Drink plenty of water.
❄️ Spend time in cool places.
👥 Check in on family, friends and neighbours, especially seniors and those who may not have access to air conditioning or suitable shelter.

🔵 Cool off at the splash pad at Rotary Playworld in Skaha Lake Park.
🔵 Visit the public cooling station at Gyro Park, featuring accessible walkways and water misters.
