- Legal Rights: Economic rights that can be shared or transferred in total or sliced up and transferred in pieces (e.g., to producers or broadcasters).

- Moral Rights: Personal, non-economic rights that cannot be transferred—only waived. They protect attribution of the work to you (credit or non-credit) and the integrity of your work.
