Latest Express Entry Update – Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

IRCC has just invited 3,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence in the latest CEC draw, with a minimum CRS score of 516.
🔹 All CEC draws in 2026 have had cut-offs between 507–518 points, showing a stable and competitive pool.
🔹 The latest pool update (Aug 3) shows 19,705 candidates with CRS scores between 501–600 — a steady rise from July.
🔹 So far this year, IRCC has issued 48,250 CEC invitations and surpassed 100,000 total ITAs across all categories. Canada is on track to exceed past records.

If your CRS score is in the competitive range, now is the time to understand your options and prepare your pathway to permanent residence.

📢 Express Entry Update – Skilled Military Recruits

IRCC has held the first-ever category-based draw for skilled military recruits.
- Invitations issued: 4
- Minimum CRS score: 368

This marks the smallest Express Entry round in history, reflecting the very limited pool of candidates eligible under this category. Since applicants must already hold a job offer from the Canadian Forces Recruiting Group, the number of invitations was expected to be low.

With IRCC adding this category earlier in 2026, today’s draw highlights Canada’s recognition of military skills as part of its immigration strategy.

If you have Canadian work experience or a job offer in a targeted category, now is the time to create your Express Entry profile and prepare for upcoming rounds.

Express Entry Update – Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

IRCC has held the 11th CEC draw of 2026, issuing invitations to apply (ITAs) that bring the total this year to 43,250.
For perspective: by mid‑July last year, only 18,850 ITAs had been issued — meaning 2026 is already running at over double the pace.

While draw sizes have moderated since January’s record‑breaking 8,000 ITAs, Canada remains on track to meet its 109,000 federal high‑skilled admissions target this year.

⏳ With 60,900 CEC applications currently in processing (average wait ~7 months), candidates invited now are likely to achieve permanent residence in early 2027.

👉 If you’re a foreign worker with Canadian work experience, now is the time to create your Express Entry profile and position yourself for success.
