CANADA EXPRESS ENTRY CHANGES – NOVEMBER 3, 2026!

-Important updates to CRS points!

🔹 Additional points for eligible Canadian work experience in designated high-wage occupations.

🔹 50, 70 or 100 CRS points for qualifying high-wage job offers.

🔹 LMIA no longer required for qualifying job offers under the specified Express Entry rules.

🔹 Opportunities for eligible IT, engineering, healthcare and skilled trades professionals.

Candidates can receive points under the new factor for either qualifying Canadian work experience or a qualifying job offer—not both.

IRCC has announced its targeted categories for 2026, focusing on candidates with strong French-language skills and work experience in priority occupations.

Priority Fields for 2026:

-Healthcare & Social Services
Nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, chiropractors, and more.

-Skilled Trades
Carpenters, plumbers, machinists, and other skilled trades supporting infrastructure and housing.

-STEM
Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics — including engineers and cybersecurity specialists supporting innovation and growth.

Do you have experience in one of these areas or strong French skills? You may have opportunities through targeted Express Entry invitation rounds.

🚨 Ontario Immigration Update (OINP) – August 2026 🇨🇦

Ontario has officially launched the new Ontario Workforce Priority Stream (OWPS) under the redesigned OINP.

-Expression of Interest (EOI) submissions are now open.
-New pathways for higher-skilled workers, lower-skilled workers, and self-employed physicians.
-Most applicants will need a valid job offer from an eligible Ontario employer.
-Candidates will be selected through invitation rounds.

This is a significant update for those planning to apply for permanent residence through Ontario. Stay informed and make sure you’re ready when invitations are issued!

IRCC Immigration Update –Aug 2026

~ No new TR-to-PR pathway has been announced.
~Express Entry continues to prioritize candidates in healthcare, STEM, trades, education, transport, agriculture, and French-language occupations.
~IRCC is working to reduce processing delays by improving digital services and modernizing its application system.
~Workers who already have eligible permanent residence applications under certain economic programs may benefit from faster processing, but this is not a new PR program.
