En 2017 des professseurs d'universités ont joint leurs cours de droit constitutionnel et ont assignés comme tâche à leurs étudiants un projet unique : celui de rédiger une constitution pour le Canada. Au cours de cet évènement ils discuteront de l'impact du projet et de ces résultats.

Hi, everyone !

You might have heard about Equal voice in your news feeds lately and might be asking what does it stand for? This inspiring project is about empowering women and ensuring a representation of women in all levels of political office in Canada. It is not only about political representation, it is about political and legal action. A political action that will ensure that women are treated equally. Our society needs to stand for women’s right because the struggle for equality is still ongoing. The quest for equality is universal, and the same patterns that we find in our Canadian society are also lived by millions of women across the world.

In view of our movie night next week, I found two interesting articles one about Kay Sigurjonsson (1933-2017) a feminist activist who campaigned for women's right in Canada and the other about the future of gender parity on the Parliament Hill!

Salut tout le monde!

Vous avez surement du entendre du projet Equal voice dans votre actualité dernièrement et vous vous êtes surement demandés en quoi ce projet consistait ? Ce projet inspirant vise à autonomiser les femmes dans toutes les sphères de la politique au Canada. Ce n'est pas seulement une question de représentation mais surtout une question d'action ! Une action politique qui garantira un traitement équitable à toutes les femmes. Notre société a besoin de se lever pour les droits des femmes, car le combat continue toujours.

En prévision de notre soirée cinéma la semaine prochaine, j'ai trouvé deux articles intéressants, l'un à propos de Kay Sigurjonsson (1933-2017), activiste féministe qui s'est battu pour le droit des femmes au Canada et l'autre au sujet du future de la parité sur la colline du parlement !
