Aquilina Law develops and delivers a seminar for the "Constitutional Rights in Tunisia project"

On May 11, 2022 Martin Aquilina delivered a seminar for the "Constitutional Rights in Tunisia project" funded by the US Department of State and implemented by the International Development Law Organisation in partnership with the Canadian Bar Association (CBA).

The CBA retained Aquilina Law to develop a seminar on the use of International Law in national courts with the aim of heightening the Tunisian Bar Association members’ awareness of the possibilities offered by the country’s constitution to further human rights.

Aquilina Law élabore et dispense un séminaire pour le projet « Droits constitutionnels en Tunisie »

Le 11 mai 2002, Martin Aquilina a dispensé un séminaire pour le projet « Droits constitutionnels en Tunisie ». Cette formation fut financée par le Département d'État américain et mise en œuvre par l'Organisation internationale de droit du développement en partenariat avec l'Association du Barreau canadien (ABC).

L'ABC a retenu les services d'Aquilina Law pour élaborer un séminaire sur l'utilisation du droit international devant les tribunaux nationaux afin de faire progresser les droits de la personne. L'objectif du séminaire était de sensibiliser les membres de l'Ordre des avocats de Tunisie aux possibilités offertes par la constitution tunisienne.

Service de Pneus Lavoie Outaouais Inc. sells its Wholesale Distribution division

On March 5, 2022, Service de Pneus Lavoie Outaouais Inc. sold its Wholesale Distribution division to Distribution Stox Inc. Based in Boucherville, Québec, Distribution Stox holds the largest inventory of tires for cars and light trucks in Eastern Canada.

Services de Pneus Lavoie Outaouais (SPLO) maintains two other divisions, a retail sale division which sells tires throughout the Outaouais and Eastern Ontario, and a retreading plant, both of which it will continue to operate.

The Aquilina Law team, headed by Martin Aquilina, assisted by Vicky Li and Andrea Parodis, advised its client SPLO and navigated this major transaction to a successful completion.

Le 5 mars 2022, Service de Pneus Lavoie Outaouais Inc. a vendu à Distribution Stox Inc. sa division "Distribution en Gros". Distribution Stox est une entreprise basée à Boucherville QC offrant le plus important inventaire de pneus pour automobiles et camionnettes de l’Est du Canada.

Service de Pneus Lavoie Outaouais (SPLO) compte deux autres divisions, soit la vente au détail de pneus à la grandeur de l'Outaouais et de l'Est ontarien et une usine de rechapage, qu’elle continuera d’opérer.
