I never expected that my RN license reciprocity from Illinois, USA to New York will only take 1 month to complete. I was expecting for a much longer waiting time but here it is. 🇨🇦 to 🇺🇸

After all the struggle and hardship of being an international student way back year 2018 and the complicated Registered Nursing application of British Columbia, I spent so much time working as a Healthcare Aide.

It’s against my will but I am thankful because I wouldn’t get my permanent residency without doing it. I made the right choice to move to Ottawa,Ontario and acquired my RN license. In less than a year, I have surpassed the minimum 1,125 required working hours to be able to reciprocate my Ontario license to British Columbia.

I can see the exhaustion in my eyes since for the most part, I have always been working overtime shifts to reach my goal. I may not as lucky as others to celebrate Valentine’s day but I’m happy to remember this day as I finally submitted my application towards my Canadian citizenship. Thank you so much to my highly supported parents. It was not an easy journey but I chose to take the risk and took a leap of faith.
