The circle of life.

For those of you who know me, you know I am passionate about projects that help stabilize and secure the autonomy of people. Real estate is one passion. Crypto mining another.

Today, I am drawing attention to Magellan Community Centre. A development project in the works. Much of the planning and strategizing for this development is happening behind the scenes as we start to bring awareness to the public. By joining forces we are integrating our networks to help build a long term care home for our people. Our portuguese community.

As someone who is involved in the project, I see the importance of cementing a development of this magnitude for our community. I see the importance of providing families with options in care giving. Providing families with options that align with their circumstances. Situated in the Landsdowne area, this development project will embrace the portuguese culture and serve as a community hub for many.

I have exciting news to share!!!🙂

Magellan Community Charities is a newly established non-profit organization with strong links to Canada’s Portuguese community.

With an alarming lack of suitable housing support for our elders, Magellan Community Charities was formed to provide long-term care and assisted living to our most vulnerable seniors.

With 256 long term care beds and 47 assisted living units, this senior complex will be the first and only centre for Portuguese speaking seniors.

But wait there’s more……🤗

An exciting feature of this complex will be the Community Hub, which will incorporate space for existing Magellan residents while extending a warm welcome to the larger community with recreational and educational programs to promote inclusivity.

This is a passion project.

With a phenomenal group of people involved. 🤍

We have an optimal location.

We have leadership.

We have a shared vision.

We are turning this shared vision into reality.

Having dual citizenship is an amazing opportunity that is only accomplished by a small percentage of the population. Whether you were born in a different country or have family abroad, there are ways that you can secure and retain your citizenship in multiple countries.

I am humbled by the advantages I’ve experienced to date. It is a friendly reminder that citizens are not born, but made.

As I take a moment to digest this thought, I realize that not only am I Portuguese Canadian.....🇵🇹🇨🇦🤍
...but masked selfies are not cute 🤦🏻‍♀️ and the vibrant blue chair across from me matches my business logo 😊
