Meet Gagan.

Since being called to the Ontario Bar in 2013, Gagan has dedicated his practice almost exclusively to family law. He understands that no two families are alike and takes the time to learn each client's unique circumstances, goals, and concerns before developing a strategy tailored to their needs.

While Gagan has extensive litigation experience, he also recognizes the value of negotiation and settlement where appropriate, helping clients find efficient and practical resolutions during what can be one of the most challenging periods of their lives. His goal is always to provide clear guidance, strong advocacy, and meaningful access to justice.

Outside the office, Gagan enjoys spending time with his family, staying active with his children, and pursuing his interests in basketball, swimming, golf, and travel.

How long does an Ontario divorce take if both spouses agree on everything?

Many couples assume that if they agree on property division, support, and parenting arrangements, their divorce will be finalized immediately. While an uncontested divorce is typically faster than a contested one, there are still legal steps and court processing times to consider.

In this video, Abir, Galbraith Family Law lawyer, explains what to expect from an uncontested divorce in Ontario, including the factors that can affect timelines and how long the process may take when both parties are on the same page.

If you're considering separation or divorce and want to understand how long an Ontario divorce can take, this video provides a helpful overview of the process.

With Father's Day approaching, we're addressing one of the biggest concerns many dads have during a separation:

"Will I get a fair chance to stay involved in my child's life?"

In our latest blog, we explain:
âś” What parenting time means
âś” What decision-making responsibility means
âś” Whether fathers can seek equal parenting time
âś” The factors courts consider when making parenting decisions
âś” Common misconceptions about fathers' rights after separation

If you're a father navigating separation or divorce, understanding how Ontario family law approaches parenting issues can help you make informed decisions for yourself and your children.

Does cheating affect your divorce in Ontario?

Family lawyer Abir Hassan breaks down what infidelity actually means in family law, and whether it impacts spousal support, child support, or your parenting arrangement.

Short answer, Ontario courts don’t base decisions on who was “at fault.” What matters is the best interests of the child and each party’s financial situation.

If you’re wondering whether a cheating spouse pays more, or how it could affect your parenting arrangement or settlement, this is a solid place to start.
