ClearEstate

ClearEstate Best-in-class estate services using highly trained professionals & state-of-the-art technology. ClearEstate wants to change the way estates are settled.

Settling an estate can take months and cost thousands of dollars, thereby making an emotionally taxing process even more difficult for estate executors. To make matters worse, executors are often left to their own devices and forced to figure it out as they go. We know there’s a better way. By creating a tech-enabled, end-to-end solution for estate settlements, we want to disrupt the inefficient s

tatus-quo and empower independent executors by automating administrative tasks, reduce the unnecessary involvement of licensed professionals in order to save costs, and educate executors and beneficiaries in order to create more transparency throughout the whole process.

Our co-founder Alexandre Gauthier was the named executor of his mother’s estate. He was the sole beneficiary. On paper, everything had already been decided.

It still took him more than two years to settle her estate.

A Will specifies who gets what, and who's in charge of making that happen. It says nothing about where accounts are actually held, how jointly owned property gets treated, what an outdated beneficiary designation does to someone's real intentions, or who even has the passwords to a digital life. Those kinds of details decide how long settlement takes, not the Will itself.

Probate alone can take months. Final tax clearance often takes over a year. Most families don't find out how much a Will leaves unanswered until they're the ones holding it, at the worst possible time.

That gap between having a Will and having an actual plan is why ClearEstate exists.
