👉CASE UPDATE Regarding the Finalization of the Notice to Institute Proceedings:

Our lawyers have notified us that they are still awaiting a response from Quebec Superior Court Justice Dominique Poulin concerning their request for a Case Management Conference and subsequent motion they filed with the court due to stalled negotiations with the Defence Team (Royal Victoria Hospital, McGill University and the Government of Canada) over the precise wording of the Notice to Institute Proceedings.

As previously stated, the judge is the only one who can make progress happen with our case and our lawyers must wait for the judge's response.

Our attorneys have reiterated that while they are making every effort, their "hands are still tied" and they will have to wait for the judge's decision - until they receive a date for the Case Management Conference or a ruling on the motion filed to compel the publication of the Notice to Institute Proceedings.

**As always, please remember this is a complex case that will most likely take some time to resolve. So far, the Defendants show no interest in reaching a settlement but this could change.**

Once again, class action litigation is not a sprint, it is a marathon. Despite our need for speed, it takes time and patience.

In 1997, Jim Bronskill's investigation into the "Playhouse of Horrors" and the Allan Memorial Institute victims appeared in the Hamilton Spectator (see photo) and the Montreal Gazette. The story was published starting in September 1997, in early 1998 and in late 2002 using sources from Southam News.

In 2001, a story titled "L*D Experiments: How a Mad Scientist Went Unchecked" appeared in the Ottawa Citizen newspaper. The piece compares Dr. Ewen Cameron's "psychic driving" experiments with Dr. Mark Eveson's use of L*D on inmates at the Kingston Prison for Women in the early 1960s, pointing out that Cameron was "the closest thing Canada has produced to a real-life mad scientist."

To address the issue of stalled negotiations with the Defence Team (McGill University, Royal Victoria Hospital, Government of Canada) our lawyers are using legal procedures to ensure that our case moves forward in the Quebec Superior Court.

As previously mentioned, a Case Management Conference was requested with the judge - the Defense Team was sent a Draft Case Protocol and a Notice Program was done. However, the judge has yet to schedule a date for the Conference.

A motion was then filed with the Quebec Superior Court to force the publication of the Notice to Institute Proceedings and start our trial. The Defence Team was also notified. However, our lawyers are still waiting on the judge's decision.

To date, our attorneys have not gotten any results and will only get some once they receive a response from the judge, as the judge is the only one who can make progress happen with our case.

David Nixon began working for the Canadian Government, (Department of External Affairs) in 1954 at just 19 years old. However, his life would never be the same when the RCMP found out he was gay and forced him to resign because he now posed a "threat" to national security. After the pain of losing his job and with few options for employment, David was referred to the Allan Memorial Institute by his psychiatrist.

As part of the Top Secret mind control program known as MK-ULTRA, Dr. Ewen Cameron subjected David to psychiatric abuse rather than treatment for depression. David received large dosages of psychoactive medications and shock treatments, neither of which were part of any sound medical therapy.
