Dear clients, colleagues and friends:
An update on the reopening of The Courts. The Courts are tentatively reopening soon. The Provincial Offences Court for Traffic Tickets is scheduled t reopen on September 11, 2020 while the Small Claims Court is set to reopen on November 2, 2020. There is for sure a big backlog of cases because they have to reschedule all the cases that were to take place from March 16, 2020 to the date of reopening so many cases may not be heard until 2021. There is no explanation about which cases will have priority and in what order they will tackle the rescheduling. My office remains open to service my clients and any new client that needs legal services for Small Claims Court and Landlord and Tenant Board maters. If you intend to deal with a case this is the best time to get in touch with me to get started because the more you wait the later your case will be dealt with. Don't hesitate to call me if you have any questions and I will be happy to speak with you.
