Who Knew?

Who knew life was as simple as a rhyme?
That all we have to give of ourselves is time?
Life is not as simple as a straight line;
But reality to certain rules it does confine.

Time moves forward regardless of how we turn;
We progress into a future more rigid and stern.
Yet our thoughts and dreams dare take us away,
To thoughts and dreams of yesterday.

Tomorrow is just a day to worry about;
Worry leads to tension and we shout.
Why worry ? Life today in its glorious day;
Enables to learn from lessons of yesterday.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life;
You’ve reached this point and crossed over; Like the edge of a knife.

Mare Imbrium

On lunar surface, Mare Imbrium twirled
In the glow reflected off our own world.

A Sea of Showers from Latin as its name
or a Sea of Rains, Almost but not quite the same.

A Sea of Tears, for those that lament the moon;
It’s cast its glow on our world since life commenced through binary tide, ye heavenly lune.

A crater on her face, Mare Imbrium shines brighter yet attracts rare mention or attention.
It’s a site of human development in the future of our exploration.

Source of our binary pattern, we emerged life with the tide;
As the moon pulled Earth’s ocean to her gravitational side.
Life emerged with the passing of seasons;
A cataclysm of coincidence, for indefinite reasons.

We owe life to our moon, shining at us at night.
Mare Imbrium is the moon’s first sea;
A potential remanding site.

Immortality

The World Is a ball, I hold In my hand -
So simple this game of existence,
So easy to understand.
The vision of perspective,
Gained from sheer persistence.
Life continues on this marble I hold,
Life speaks through introspective.
One speaks through oneself, untold.

The eye of a storm gazes back at me -
Allowing my blurred vision to see.
Colours and shapes merge,
Sparkles within a frame-
A story begins to emerge,
The view remains the same.

I see myself in my work,
It’s a piece that’ll last through time,
Immortality is a little perk,
Gained by committing thoughts to paint and rhyme.

Divine

To err is human -
To forgive oneself is divine.
To reconcile what’s you and what’s sublime.
Created in God’s image,
My God looks like me.
My God feels my pain, Shares it as I feel.
I apply my own balm to my wounds,
My God causes me to heal.
That’s when God set me free;
No rituals I don’t want, no foreign ministry.

I simply follow my heart; do what I know is right.
My God has given me wisdom and insight.

My God is with me as I heal the pain;
When I doubt myself ; I doubt God again.
I have my mission to be true to my path,
Lest I invite the Lord’s holy wrath
