We are pleased to welcome Jessica Lubrick to the team. Jessica is an experienced family lawyer, Accredited Family Mediator and adjudicator with a practice focused on sophisticated, solutions-driven family law.

Called to the Ontario Bar in 2015, Jessica has practised exclusively in family law, with experience spanning complex litigation, negotiated settlements, separation agreements and alternative dispute resolution. She has advanced training in mediation and arbitration and is an Accredited Family Mediator with the Ontario Association for Family Mediation.

In 2025, Jessica was appointed to Ontario’s Child and Family Services Review Board and has also served as a Member of the Custody Review Board.

Did you know that in Ontario for purchase agreements signed on or after April 1, 2026, buyers must register their purchase with Tarion within 45 days of signing.

Starting January 1, 2027, missing the deadline could mean reduced deposit protection under a separate fund capped at $15 million annually.

• Alter Ego Trust
Allows you to transfer assets into a trust while maintaining control and receiving all income generated by those assets during your lifetime. Upon death, the assets can be distributed according to your wishes without going through probate.

• Joint Partner Trust

Joanna trained at the Kingston Community Legal Clinic, where she managed a high-volume caseload and represented clients before administrative tribunals. Her experience includes preparing appeal materials before the Divisional Court and working through complex issues of statutory interpretation, procedural fairness, and standards of review.

Joanna has also been actively engaged in access to justice initiatives through her work with Pro Bono Ontario’s Free Legal Advice Hotline. She was selected as the East Region winner of the Ontario Bar Association’s Hotline Pro Bono Regional Challenge, recognizing her contributions to providing legal support to Ontarians across the province.
