WHAT IS SEXUAL ASSAULT?

By the end of 2025, a staggering 90% of our clients are facing s*xual assault charges. Just ten years ago, that number was only 10%.

This is not a coincidence.

One of the root cause is clear: lack of education and/or misinformation.

One of the beliefs that causes havoc is that marriage grants automatic consent, or that they have the right to s*x whenever they choose. This belief is false - and it is destroying lives.

In 2026, we are taking action. We will be launching an educational course open to all, aimed at confronting and stopping this growing scourge. In the past, I have delivered lectures in mosques and community halls, sparking vital conversations that must continue.

Recent decision at the Court of Appeal of Ontario with respect to a motion to restore a matter to the trial list and cross-motion for dismissal of the matter for delay. Our client, Jamia Islamia Canada was successful at the Superior Court of Justice. The matter was appealed by the Plaintiff and our client was again successful at the Court of Appeal.
