Big change for Express Entry candidates with job offers. IRCC has announced that starting November 3, 2026, an LMIA is no longer required for qualifying job offers used for the new additional CRS points, or to meet eligibility under the Federal Skilled Worker Program and the Federal Skilled Trades Program.

Up to 70 EXTRA CRS Points for Canadian Work Experience? 🚨

Canada's proposed Express Entry reforms could reward candidates working in high-wage occupations! 📈

💼 Here's how the proposed CRS points would work:

🔴 +70 Points – 12 months of eligible Canadian work experience in occupations paying at least 2× the median wage.

🔵 +40 Points – 12 months of combined eligible experience in occupations paying at least 1.5× the median wage.

🟢 +20 Points – 12 months of combined eligible experience in high-wage occupations paying at least 1.3× the median wage.

⚠️ Candidates would receive only the highest tier they qualify for, not all three.

Last week, we said there were still Express Entry draws we hadn’t seen in 2026.

Yesterday, IRCC proved it.

🔴 3,500 Trades ITAs
🔴 CRS 476
🔴 Biggest Trades draw of 2026

With around 12 weeks still left in the year, there is still time for more Express Entry movement.

CEC has also been trending down, with the last three cutoffs moving from 521 → 519 → 518.

Could we still see 5 or even 6 more CEC draws before the end of the year? It will depend on IRCC’s draw schedule and invitation numbers.

If you’re still waiting, stay prepared. Keep your Express Entry profile accurate and your documents ready.

There are *13 weeks left in 2026*, and there is still time for Express Entry activity we haven’t seen yet this year.

IRCC does not announce draws in advance, so future draw dates, categories, and CRS requirements cannot be confirmed ahead of an official announcement.

Education is included in IRCC’s *2026 category-based selection categories*, but we haven’t seen an Education draw yet this year.

If you have an Express Entry profile, make sure your information is accurate, your documents are ready, and you continue monitoring official IRCC announcements.

*13 weeks are still on the calendar. What happens next? We’ll have to wait and see.*
