✅ Jobs can be compared using their median wages.
✅ Your job duties matter, not just your job title.
✅ Your personal salary alone does not decide whether your occupation is considered high-wage.

A job’s median wage is compared with the median wage for workers across Canada.

The proposed high-wage approach uses this comparison to identify certain occupations.

*🚨 BREAKING: Ontario just picked 6 regions for their own PR nomination spots.

The program is called REDI — Regional Economic Development through Immigration. Ontario sets aside OINP nominations for regions that need workers. This new round runs until the end of 2027.

✅ The 6 regions that are IN:
• Greater Sudbury
• Kenora District
• Nipissing District
• Rainy River District
• Renfrew County
• Thunder Bay

❌ Off the new list (they were in last year’s pilot):
• Lanark County
• Leeds and Grenville
• Sarnia-Lambton

Thunder Bay is the only region that stayed.

How it works, in plain words:

There is no separate REDI application.
You still have to meet the normal OINP rules — job offer, language, education, experience.
Your EOI has to be sitting in the pool for a draw to pick it.

A draw can only choose from profiles that are already in. If your EOI is not in the pool, you are not in the draw — no matter how strong your profile is. Check your NOC code, your points and your documents now, not after a draw is announced.

🚨 BREAKING: Canada released the full list of jobs that will get extra Express Entry points.

186 jobs made the list. It starts November 3, 2026.

Here’s how it works 👇

If your job is on the list, you can get extra CRS points for:
💼 A job offer in Canada — no LMIA needed
🍁 Or 1+ year of work experience in Canada in that job

How many points? Depends on your level:

Job offer:
📌 Level 3 — 100 points
📌 Level 2 — 70 points
📌 Level 1 — 50 points

Work experience (12+ months):
📌 Level 3 — +70 points
📌 Level 2 — +40 points
📌 Level 1 — +20 points

You get one or the other, whichever is higher. Not both.

⚠️ Two things people are getting wrong:

1. It is NOT about your salary. It’s about what that type of job normally pays across Canada.
2. Only your exact NOC code counts — not your job title. Two jobs can sound the same and only one is on the list.

Announced today in Kitchener. They start November 3, 2026.

What changed 👇

1️⃣ NEW POINTS FOR HIGH-WAGE JOBS

Job offer:
📌 2x median wage — 100 points
📌 1.5x — 70 points
📌 1.3x — 50 points

Canadian work experience:
📌 2x median wage — 70 points
📌 1.5x — 40 points
📌 1.3x — 20 points

Qualify for both? You get the higher one only. Not added together.

2️⃣ NO MORE LMIA

From November 3, no LMIA is needed for a qualifying job offer to earn these points. IRCC will still check the offer is genuine.

⚠️ “High-wage” is not about your salary. It is about what your occupation normally pays across Canada. IRCC listed 186 occupations. If yours is not on it, you get 0 of these points.

🔴 ALREADY IN THE POOL?

✅ Work experience points are added automatically
⚠️ Job offer points are NOT — update your profile before November 3
⏳ Recalculation takes up to 2 weeks. Draws are paused.
