🚨 Major Ontario immigration change starts today 🇨🇦 As of May 30, Ontario is officially removing all 9 current OINP streams, marking the biggest overhaul in the program’s history and many applicants are still waiting to see what the new replacement pathways will look like.

🚨New IRCC guidance gives refugees more flexibility when they cannot leave their host country because of documents, legal status issues, or exit restrictions.

🧾 No Exit Permit? Not Automatic Refusal ➡️ Refugee PR applications can still be processed ➡️ Officers cannot refuse only because an exit permit is missing

🌍 Stuck in Another Country? ➡️ IRCC can still approve the case if requirements are met ➡️ Applicants may get time to resolve exit issues

👨‍👩‍👧 Family Can’t Travel Together? ➡️ In urgent cases, some family members may be marked non-accompanying ➡️ The main applicant may still travel to Canada first

🔁 Reuniting Later ➡️ Family may be added later through the One-Year Window or sponsorship ➡️ Approval is still not guaranteed

💡 Bottom line: Canada is making refugee processing more flexible for people facing serious barriers outside their control.

🚨 The Four Falls, New Brunswick port of entry has permanently closed after being out of service since 2020, so travellers in northwestern New Brunswick must now use nearby crossings like Andover or Gillespie Portage.

📍 Alternate ports of entry:
 🔹 Andover — open 24/7 🔹 Gillespie Portage — open daily 7 AM–7 PM

📊 Why it was closed?
 ➡️ Low traffic volume ➡️ Seasonal operations only ➡️ Nearby border alternatives available ➡️ No matching U.S. border station

 ➡️ Travellers must enter Canada through an official CBSA crossing ➡️ Failure to report properly can lead to fines or penalties

📍 What is PEQ? ➡️ A PR pathway for people with Quebec work or study experience ➡️ Previously one of the fastest and most popular routes to PR in Quebec

📅 What’s changing? ➡️ PEQ returning for 2 years ➡️ Reopening date still not announced
