We're changing things up this year!

We invite you to attend our 1st Annual Fall Conference, taking place on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, at the Holiday Inn Burlington Conference Centre.

The conference is a full day program with three (3) morning tracks followed by a professionalism/practice management and courtroom advocacy program in the afternoon where you can get your 1 EDI Professionalism Hour(s).

The three (3) tracks will be in the areas of Family Law, Estates Law, and Corporate Law, and each track will be in a separate conference room. Attendees can register for any one of the three (3) tracks. With that said, we encourage attendees to move in and out of the different rooms to attend presentations that are of the most interest to them.

The afternoon program will be in the grand hall and will feature motions and trial advocacy as well as a feature presentation by our Keynote Speaker The Honourable Harvey Brownstone (retired Justice of the Ontario Court) as well as a highly practical presentation on AI and the practice of law by Doug Higgins, the Chief Innovation Officer at the consulting company, CNSL.ai, which will be applicable to all lawyers in all practice areas.

Attendees can register for the full day or for just the afternoon program, the latter of which may be enticing for those who do not necessarily practice in the areas of Family Law, Estates Law, and Corporate Law.

On Sunday, September 20, 2026, communities across Canada will once again come together for the annual Terry Fox Run, continuing a proud Canadian tradition and raising funds for vital cancer research.

The Terry Fox Run is a wonderful opportunity for members of the Halton legal community, together with family, friends and colleagues, to get out and support the communities in which we live and work. You can run, walk, bring the kids or simply come out and take part. It isn't a race ā€” although a little friendly competition among lawyers is always welcome!

There are five Terry Fox Runs across Halton Region this year:

Oakville: Coronation Park, 1426 Lakeshore Rd W | Registration 9:00 a.m.; Run 10:00 a.m.
