A deposit is an important part of the home-buying process, but what exactly is it—and what happens to it?
Your deposit shows the seller that you’re serious about the purchase. It’s held in trust and then is applied to the final purchase price on closing.
There are lots of little details in the buying process that can feel confusing, especially if you’re a first-time buyer. My goal is to make sure you understand what you’re signing and what to expect.
