Listing this fall? Don't make this mistake.
I walked into a showing last week and the house was still in "summer mode" light linens, bright whites, airy open everything.
It was October. The house didn't know what month it was.
Staging isn't just about furniture arrangement. It's about making buyers feel something the moment they walk in. In fall, they want to feel warm, settled, at home.
Here's what I tell every seller I work with:
β Add warmth β throws, rugs, candles, lamps on
β Remove anything that screams summer (beach art, light sheers)
β Fresh flowers in the kitchen + a soft scent (not those plugins)at the front door
β Drop the temp slightly, not cold, but crisp
β Clear the porch clutter and add a simple fall wreath
Small things. Almost zero cost. They absolutely affect how buyers feel about your home.
