The London and St. Thomas housing market moved closer to balanced conditions in July.
Sales slowed from June, which is typical as the summer progresses, while average and benchmark prices remained relatively steady month to month. Compared with last July, buyers are seeing more available inventory and lower pricing across the overall market.
The sales-to-new-listings ratio increased to 44.5%, up from 41.6% in June and close to the range generally associated with a balanced market.
These conditions can work well for both sides. Buyers have more time and selection, while sellers continue to benefit from an active market when their property is priced and presented effectively.
