At Agos Immigration, we believe being part of a community means more than simply doing business within it. It means showing up, investing in it and standing behind the organizations that are creating real impact.

That is why we are incredibly proud to sponsor United Tamil Alliance (UTA), a non-profit organization bringing our community together through sports.

What UTA is building goes far beyond the field. It is creating a space for our youth to compete, families to connect and our community to come together with energy, pride and purpose.

And this is exactly what we’re proud to stand behind. 💙

A special thank you to TimeLenSS for capturing these moments.

Refugee claims in Canada continue to increase but so do removals.

Making a refugee claim is a life changing decision that should only be made by individuals who genuinely require Canada's protection.

The latest CBSA statistics show:
🔹 Enforced removals reached 23,160 in 2025.
🔹 Over 572,000 removal files were in the CBSA inventory as of June 30, 2026.
🔹 Thousands of removal orders are currently in progress.

Before making any immigration decision, it is important to understand the potential long-term consequences and explore all immigration options available to you.

Every situation is unique. If you're unsure which pathway is right for you, seek qualified immigration advice before taking the next step.

Planning to study in Canada? Don't let financial requirements catch you by surprise.

As of 2026, IRCC has increased the minimum financial resources required for international students applying for a study permit.

💰 Before submitting your application, make sure you can demonstrate:
✔️ First-year tuition fees
✔️ Living expenses (updated 2026 amounts)
✔️ Travel costs to and from Canada
✔️ A clear and legitimate source of funds

📊 This infographic compares the 2025 vs. 2026 financial requirements, including the differences between Quebec and the rest of Canada.

⚠️ Many study permit applications are refused because applicants fail to properly demonstrate their financial capacity—not necessarily because they don't have the money, but because they don't provide the right evidence.

📌 Save this post for future reference and share it with anyone planning to study in Canada.

Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP) Compliance Update

The Government of Canada is strengthening enforcement of the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP), with more employers found non-compliant during recent inspections.

According to Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC):

✔️ 1,488 employer inspections were completed
✔️ 12% of employers were found non-compliant
✔️ $10.2 million in penalties were issued

The latest report also highlights stricter compliance measures, increased employer obligations, and a continued decline in TFWP admissions as Canada reinforces that the program should be used only as a last resort when qualified Canadians or permanent residents are unavailable.

⚠️ Employers should review their hiring practices and ensure they remain compliant with current TFWP and LMIA requirements.
