Calling yourself a trial lawyer and having real trial experience are two very different things.

When the outcome matters, ask the questions that matter: When was your lawyer’s last jury trial? What was the verdict?

Courtroom experience matters when your case is on the line.

Tunnel vision can turn suspicion into a case before the evidence has been properly tested.

Once investigators decide who they think is guilty, every fact can start looking like proof. That is why the justice system has to examine innocent explanations with the same seriousness as evidence of guilt.

A doctor hired by the insurance company is not there to treat you.
Their examination can influence whether your injuries are accepted, how serious they are considered, and how much compensation you receive. Yet injured people are regularly told they cannot record what happens during the assessment.
That becomes a serious problem when the final report does not reflect the questions asked or the answers given in the room.
People acting in an official capacity should not expect their words to be beyond scrutiny.
P.S. Should injured people be allowed to record medical assessments arranged by insurance companies?

A doctor hired by the insurance company is not your doctor. Their assessment can affect your entire personal injury claim, yet injured people are often told they cannot record what happens in the room.

When the written report does not match the questions asked or the answers given, that recording may matter.

A young Canadian woman joined the military ready to serve. According to her claim, when she became critically ill during basic training, her symptoms were ignored until she collapsed—and after doctors discovered meningitis, she was transported from Montreal to Toronto in an Uber instead of an ambulance.

She trusted the system with her life. Now that system must answer for how she was treated.

Your cover letter should not explain why the job is good for you. It should prove why you would be good for the organization.

Do the research. Understand the culture. Show what you uniquely bring, and stop sending the same lifeless letter to ten different firms.

The wins come and go quickly in this profession, but some moments stay with you.

Receiving this from a veteran whose family we fought for was a powerful reminder of why the work matters.

To every soldier, police officer, firefighter, paramedic, nurse and first responder who puts service before self: we see you, we respect you, and we’re proud to stand behind you.

Starting in 2026, Ontario is removing standard income replacement and accident benefits.
Why? Because if you can’t work and have no replacement income… you can’t afford a lawyer.

And when you can’t afford a lawyer, you settle early — and for way less.
Insurance companies save millions.
Injured people lose everything.

Many victims never come forward because they think it is too late, no one will believe them, or the process will destroy their life all over again.

But silence protects the wrong person.

You can ask questions privately. You can understand your options before anyone else knows. And you may have more power than you think.

When you’re ready, speak to someone who can help.

The wrong divorce lawyer can turn an already painful separation into a financial disaster.

Most people do not need a lawyer who pours gasoline on the emotion and drains the money that should be protecting their kids, their home, and their future.

You need guidance when the divorce can be handled properly, and a trial team when the other side decides to be devious, malicious, or corrupt.
